About Us
Welcome to the Family and Community Empowerment Center.
The Center brings together scholars from many different backgrounds and empowers community members to co-create a plan of action that will improve the quality of life for families in the Greater Richmond area.
The Center provides services and programming related to three areas:
- Achieving personal goals for education and training;
- Improving a family’s economic and financial situation from one generation to the next; and
- Developing a sense of well-being and peace of mind as individuals and as a family.
We aim to help empower community members, particularly individuals who have been historically marginalized, through collaborative action and mental health support. We provide services and programming, including counseling, with the goal to develop well-being and peace of mind with individuals, families, and communities.
